David Gray (snooker player)

David Gray ( born February 9, 1979 in Lower Morden, London Borough of Merton Greater London ) is an English snooker player.

Career

In 1995 he won at the age of 16 years as by then the youngest player the English Amateur Championship. Since 1996 he is a snooker professional. In 1998 he won at the Benson & Hedges Championship and thus won the coveted wildcard for the Benson & Hedges Masters.

In 2002 he reached the final of the Regal Scottish Open and lost there against Stephen Lee. In 2003 he was again in the final of the Regal Scottish Open and won against Mark Selby to be so far the only ranking tournament. The Travis Perkins UK Championship 2004, he lost in the final against Stephen Maguire, but had previously played a maximum break against Mark Selby.

Its highest ranking in the snooker world ranking position was 12 during the 2003/ 04 season. After the 2009/10 season he fell out of the Main Tour. At the 10th PTC Event 2010 him as an amateur player scored his second maximum break.
