David H. Leroy

David H. Leroy ( born August 16, 1947 in Seattle, Washington) is an American politician. Between 1983 and 1987 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Idaho.

Career

David Leroy studied until 1971 at the University of Idaho. After studying law at the law school of New York University and qualifying as a lawyer, he began to work in a New York law firm in this profession. From 1973 to 1974 he was deputy district attorney in Ada County. Then he was there until 1978 actual district attorney. From 1979 to 1983 he held the office of Attorney General in Idaho. Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party.

1982 Leroy was elected to the side of John V. Evans for Lieutenant Governor of Idaho. This post he held between January 1983 and January 5, 1987 3. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. After the end of his time as Lieutenant Governor, he practiced as a lawyer first again. Between 1990 and 1993 led David Leroy only briefly existing federal agency Office of the United States Nuclear Waste Negotiator, which was disbanded in 1995. Since then he has worked as a lawyer again.
