David Hampshire

David Hampshire ( born December 29, 1917 in Mickleover, England; † August 25, 1990 in Newton Soleney ) was a British racing driver.

In the first official Formula 1 season in 1950 He played two counting for the World Cup race for the Scuderia Ambrosiana, which began a Maserati, but he could obtain no championship points. His only finish was ninth place in the first Formula 1 race ever at Silverstone.

Hampshire also drove some not for the World Cup scoring race, which in 1950 won the Grand Prix Nottingham.
