David Hemery

David Hemery ( born July 18, 1944 in Cirencester, Gloucestershire ) is a former British athlete. It was 1968 Olympic champion in the 400m hurdles.

The father of David Hemery moved for professional reasons already in its infancy in the United States over. Here he went to school and studied in Boston. He still went for the UK as 400m hurdles runner at the start and won in 1968 at the Olympic Games in what was then a world record time of 48.1 seconds, the gold medal.
