David Howell (Golfer)

David Howell ( born June 23, 1975 in Swindon ) is an English professional golfer on the European Tour.

Career

His professional career began in 1995, his first win was at the 1998 Australian PGA Championship and the following year Howell won his first tournament on the European Tour. While Then followed six winless years, but with good finishes, and its shape curve was resistant to the top. In 2005 and 2006, he has been able to post more tournament victories and reached the top 20 in the world rankings. In the European Tour Order of Merit in 2006 Howell came with # 3 his best season ranking. The 2007 season was for him an injury unpleasant and he was forced to retire in the top 100 in the world rankings, in which he could only return in September 2013 after his victory at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship again.

Howell was in 2004 and 2006 a member of the victorious European Ryder Cup team.
