David II of Iberia
David II ( * before 897, † 937) was 923-937 King of Georgia.
Life
David was the eldest of the four sons Adarnases IV
All four brothers ruled jointly and had been awarded different Would the Byzantine emperor:
- Ashot II the one Kuropalates, for a foreigner the highest possible ( 923-954 )
- Bagrat I the one Magistros ( 923-945 ), 937 King and
- The youngest was Sumbat I. 923 first Anthypatrikios, 945 King and 954 from Kuropalat.
In the year 897 David is mentioned for the first time as Duke of Kweli - Javakheti. He is actually the first king of that name, and David the builder of the second king. He died without issue.
