David Jackson (rock musician)

David Nicholas George Jackson ( born April 15, 1947 in Stamford, Lincolnshire ), nicknamed Jaxon, is a British saxophonist, flautist and composer, who is assigned to the progressive rock.

Life

Jackson is mainly known for his work with the band Van der Graaf Generator ( VdGG ), where he was a member in 2005 for most of the 1970s and from their reunion. In September 2006, it became known that Jackson VdGG leaves. He, alongside his work with Van der Graaf Generator also collaborated with other musicians (such as with other members of VdGG as the The Long Hello Project).

He attended the University of Dundee and taught as a math teacher primary school students in the UK. He also worked with physically and mentally handicapped, he using a special method, called Sound Beam, tried to give the opportunity to make music.
