David Jaffe

David Jaffe ( born December 1, 1973 in Birmingham, Alabama) is an American video game designer.

Study

Jaffe attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. At first he wanted to achieve with the study to become a director, but this failed and went to Sony.

Career

Initially as a tester at SCEA, he later developed the popular Twisted Metal games. Finally, in 2005 he released his biggest success with the action-adventure God of War. The game was won by the famous game portal IGN as the best PS2 game of all time.

Jaffe was also creative director of the sequel God of War II, but left Cory Barlog the post from the Game Director, as Jaffe at the same time to be PS3 racing game Calling all Cars! cared for the PlayStation Network.

End of July 2007 stated Sony Computer Entertainment of America, that David Jaffe is leaving the company to lead with Scott Campbell Incognito Studios, the company Eat Sleep Play. The first game of the company is a PS2 version of Twisted Metal: Head On, a PSP game.

On February 7, 2012 it was announced that David Jaffe leaving the Eat Sleep Play developer studio and in the future will focus on their own projects in the casual games area.

Private

Jaffe is married, has two children and lives in San Diego.
