David L. Lambert

David L. Lambert is a British- American astronomer who deals with stellar atmospheres, the chemical composition of stars and the chemical evolution of the universe.

Lambert grew up in England. He studied at the University of Oxford and in 1965 received his doctorate. In 1967 he went to the USA and worked at the California Institute of Technology, since 1969 at the University of Texas at Austin, where he became professor in 1974. Since 2003 he is Director of the McDonald Observatory of the University of Texas.

David L. Lambert is a member of the International Astronomical Union.
