David Lafata

David Lafata ( born September 18, 1981 in České Budějovice ) is a Czech football player.

Career

David Lafata began playing football at JZD Olešník and joined with eleven years for SK České Budějovice.

Among his first assignments in the professional team of attackers came in the 1999/00 season, but remained, as in the following season, without scoring. This only changed in the season 2001 /02 in the second league. Lafata scored on the last matchday first round match against Banik Ratíškovice his first goal for the SK České Budějovice. In the second round he was loaned to FC Highlands Jihlava, for which he completed five games in which he scored a goal. During the course of the season he returned to Budějovice and contributed an additional six hits to the rise of the team in the first league in.

In January 2005, he rejected a contract extension with his previous club and signed a contract valid from July 2005 to the Greek first division club Skoda Xanthi. He was then deported by the club's management in the B team. After a few weeks he was allowed to train with the first team and play. The exposure to xanthine was not running very successfully for Lafata, he remained in nine games without scoring.

In January 2006 he moved to FK Jablonec BAUMIT in the Czech League, for whom he scored four goals in 14 games in 2005/ 06. End of August 2006 was called to a very successful start to the season by coach Karel Brückner in the Czech national team for the game against Wales. He came on in the 75th minute and scored two goals, the Czech Republic won 2-1.

End of January 2007 he moved to FK Austria Wien in Austria. With the violets he was in the same year OFB - Winners' Cup, in which he compared the SV Mattersburg headed home the equalizer in the 2-1. 2007/ 08 he played with Austria in the UEFA Cup group stage. End of July 2008 Lafata went back to FK Jablonec. In the first season after his return Lafata scored ten in the following season eleven league goals. In the season 2010/11 he was charged with 19 -goal top scorer of the Gambrinus League. His good form continued in the first half of the 2011/12 season, in which he succeeded in 14 games 17 goals. Situated in northern Bohemia derby against Slovan Liberec November 26, 2011 Lafata scored his 100th Erstligatreffer and became a member of the club kanonýrů ligových.

In January 2013 he moved to Sparta Prague.
