David Lazzaroni

David Lazzaroni (born 4 February 1985 in Échirolles ) is a French former ski jumper.

Career

As a child, he trained on small jumps. In 1995, he jumped in Hinterzarten first time on a K90 ski jump, three years later in Courchevel on a K120 ski jump. At age 16, he rose temporarily from the training and left the school. Only when he saw the poor performance of the 2002 French ski jumping at the Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City on television, he started training again in order to do better than his colleagues. In his first World Cup competition on the ski flying hill in Planica in March 2002 he was with the team flies the best French. Since then, he could do with various top 30 rankings, such as with a 22nd place in Harrachov in December 2005 again attracted attention.

When his career is in the official FIS statistics " swimming instructor " is specified; his father Eric Lazzaroni was in season 2002/ 03 coach of the French national ski jumping team. David Lazzaroni was in the 2007/ 08 season for the first time in the World Cup foothold with many places in the top 25, he achieved his best result of 20 January 2008 in the Czech Republic Harrachov with a sixth place.

At the Olympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver Lazzaroni different from the normal hill than 47 after 1 passage out. In the team competition, he finished together with Vincent Descombes Sevoie, Alexandre Mabboux and Emmanuel Chedal the 9th Place.

In 2010 he announced end of his career. However, at the French Championships in 2012 in Courchevel, he went back to the start and was behind Vincent Descombes Sevoie runner-up in jumping on the normal hill.
