David Nemirovsky

David Nemirovsky (Russian Дэвид Семёнович Немировски / David Semenovich Nemirowski; born August 1, 1976 in Toronto, Ontario ) is a Russian- Canadian professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HK CSKA Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League since October 2013.

Career

David Nemirovsky began his career in the Metropolitan Toronto Junior Hockey League, a regional junior league in Toronto, at the Pickering Panthers, Weston Dukes and North York Rangers. In 1993 he joined the Ontario Hockey League for the Ottawa 67 's. NHL Entry Draft 1994 Florida Panthers selected him in the fourth round of the 84th. His last season in the OHL he spent at Sarnia Sting, but also debuted for the Panthers in the National Hockey League. In the following two years he commuted game between the Panthers and their farm team in the American Hockey League, but was able to win a regular place in the NHL.

In a total of 94 NHL games for the Florida Panthers Nemirovsky scored 17 goals and 22 assists. During the season 1998/99, on 17 February 1999, the Panthers against Jeff goods of the Toronto Maple Leafs traded him. This put him exclusively in the AHL with the St. John 's Maple Leafs.

The majority of the season 2000/ 01 he spent at HV 71 Jonkoping of the Swedish Elitserien before he came over Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in 2001 Ilves Tampere. Again he joined the club during a season, this time to Jokerit Helsinki. With Jokerit he won the IIHF Continental Cup 2002/ 03.

After this success, Nemirovsky signed in the summer of 2003, initially a contract with Chimik Moskovskaya oblast, this club but left again during the current season and joined the Ak Bars Kazan. Other stations in the Super League were SKA St. Petersburg, CSKA Moscow and HK again for SKA Saint Petersburg. From summer 2009, he stood by Barys Astana under contract. Since he also has a Russian passport in addition to his Canadian citizenship, he does not fall in the KHL under the Immigration Quota. In summer 2010, he moved along with five teammates to HC Dinamo Minsk. In December 2010, he was taken from HK CSKA Moscow under contract, he left after only two games. Then he signed a contract in January 2011 when ERV Schweinfurt Bayern league and played for this season to end. Over the next two years he did not play hockey until he was again obliged by CSKA Moscow in October 2013.
