David Neville (athlete)

David Neville ( born June 1, 1984 in Merrillville, Indiana) is an American 400 - meter runner.

Neville was 2008 U.S. Indoor Champion. At the World Indoor Championships in Valencia in 2008 he reached the semi-finals. In the outdoor season, he set at the Olympic Trials in Eugene with 44.61 seconds, a new personal best and qualified as a third party for the Olympic Games.

At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, he latched on with a time of 44.80 seconds the bronze medal. With the 4x400 - meter relay in the cast LaShawn Merritt, Neville, Angelo Taylor and Jeremy Wariner he put in 2:55,39 minutes for a new Olympic record and won the gold medal.

At a height of 1.93 m his competition weight is 74 kg.
