David Nish

David John Nish ( born September 26, 1947 in Burton -upon -Trent ) is a former English footballer. His greatest successes as a player were of winning the English Championship in 1975 with Derby County and the feeder with Leicester City in the final of the FA Cup in 1968/69. Between 1973 and 1974 he played five games in the England team.

Playing career

Leicester City

David Nish debuted on December 3, 1966 at the age of eighteen years for Leicester City in the Football League First Division 1966/67, and scored in the game against Stoke City direct his first goal. By the end of the season, the young defender denied another seventeen league games. After an eighth place in his first season worsened the performance of the club and led a thirteenth place 1967/68 in the 1968/69 season to relegation to the Second Division second-rate. England national team
