David Ostella

David Ostella (born 8 October 1991 in Maple, Ontario ) is a Canadian race car driver. He started in 2011 and 2012 in the Indy Lights.

Career

Ostella began his motorsport career in karting in 2001 and was active until 2008 in this sport. In 2008 he also made ​​his Formula racing debut for Euro International in American Formula BMW. While his teammate Alexander Rossi won the championship title, Ostella finished the season on top of the ninth overall. In 2009 he moved to AIM Motorsport in the Star Mazda Series. He finished a race on the podium and finished at the end of the season 13th in the Drivers' Championship. 2010 denied Ostella for AIM Motorsport his second season in the Star Mazda Series. With a fourth place as best result he was twelfth in the standings.

2011 Ostella went for Jensen Motorsport in the Indy Lights at the start. A fourth place finish in the season opener was his best result. For the season finale, he was replaced by Oliver Webb. At the end of the season, he finished ninth overall. 2012 moved Ostella within the Indy Lights team for Moore Racing. With a second place finish at the season finale he once stood on the podium. He finished the season in eighth place in the driver standings.
