David Peach

David Sidney Peach ( born January 21, 1951 in Bedford ) is a former English footballer.

Playing career

Peach was founded in 1969 by the then third division side FC Gillingham committed as a professional and played there until 1974. 1972 he went with Gillingham in the fourth- highest division from. He completed 187 duty games in which he scored 30 goals.

In 1974 he was engaged by the second division Southampton FC, where he was able to secure a regular place as a full-back. In addition, he was a regular penalty taker. His most famous penalty was in the semifinals of the FA Cup on April 3, 1976 collection secured against Crystal Palace, Southampton in the final against Manchester United. In the final, Southampton was unexpectedly set as the second division against the third party of the First Division 1-0.

In March 1980 he moved to the third division Swindon Town, but in which he was never able to establish itself. Due to the decline of Swindon Town Football Club, he was sold to the second division club Leyton Orient, where he one season later ended his career.
