David Printz
David Printz ( born July 24, 1980 in Solna ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is since October 2013 at the Nuremberg Ice Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract.
Career
David Printz began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the young field of AIK Solna, where he was active until 2000. Then the defender spent one season in the North American Junior League America West Hockey League, where he played for the Great Falls Americans. For the season 2001 /02 he returned to Solna, for its professional team, he made his debut in the Elitserien. In his rookie year he scored three goals in 37 games and had two assists. At the end of the season AIK got off in the second-class HockeyAllsvenskan and the left gunner moved to the Finnish SM- liiga in which he stood for the HPK Hämeenlinna and Tampere Ilves in the 2002/03 season on the ice.
After another season with AIK HockeyAllsvenskan Printz was ordered by the Philadelphia Flyers to North America in the summer of 2004. This had already chosen him in the NHL Entry Draft in the seventh round in 2001 when a total of 225 players. However, in his three years in the franchise of the Flyers, he came almost exclusively for their farm team in the American Hockey League, the Philadelphia Phantoms, are used. In addition, he was in two games for the Trenton Titans of the ECHL on the ice. Between 2005 and 2007 the Swede played a total of 13 games in the National Hockey League for the Flyers, where he remained no points and was awarded four penalty minutes.
For the 2007 /08 season played Printz in his Swedish homeland for the Djurgårdens IF in the Elitserien and was with this 2010 Swedish runner-up. End of May 2012, he was committed from the new KHL participants HC Slovan Bratislava, but completed only a KHL match for Slovan, as he could not prevail within the team. Hence his contract in mid-October 2012, resolved.
