David Rozehnal

David Rozehnal [ davit rɔzɛɦnal ] ( born July 5, 1980 in Šternberk ) is a Czech football player who currently has a contract with Lille OSC.

Career

Association

From his local club in Kožušany Rozehnal moved to the youth in the district capital for SK Sigma Olomouc. There he rose to 1999 in the Erstligamannschaft and after two years of reconstruction, he was from 2001 a regular player of the Olomouc defense. At the same time he also made in his youth career choice of the Czech Republic and in 2002 he was part of the victorious U21 European Championship team in the country.

2003 saw the successful change in the Belgian First Division for FC Bruges. There he established himself also as a defender and could help in two years with a championship and a cup win. Then the sought-after Czech moved into a big league to France to Paris Saint- Germain FC. In the season 2005/ 06 he completed all league games for the club and in the cup competition succeeded Saint- Germain victory.

For the season 2007/ 08 Rozehnal moved to Newcastle United. There he was given a contract until 2011. Late January 2008, he was first hired until season's end to Lazio and in the summer of 2008 a firm commitment from Lazio. In July 2009, he moved to Hamburg, where he signed a three -year contract. After he was no longer considered under new coach Armin Veh, he played in the 2010/11 season initially on loan for the French European League hopefuls Lille. With the club from the Nord-Pas -de- Calais in 2011, he won the "double" (Cup victory and championship ).

On 29 June 2011 OSC Lille Rozehnal firmly committed Hamburger SV. Rozehnal signed a new three -year contract until 30 June 2014.

National

For the Czech national team, he has played regularly since 2004. He earned the team to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany, is there firmly for defense.

On 12 August 2009 he scored his first international goal. In the 3-1 win against the Czech team Belgium, he scored the third goal.
