David Schartner

David Schartner ( born September 7, 1988) is an Austrian football goalkeeper. Since 2010 he is at SV Mattersburg under contract, however, takes place during the 2012/13 season on loan at SV Grödig.

Career

Youth and club career

Schartner began his active career as a soccer goalie in late September 1996 at TSV Neumarkt in the province of Salzburg. Internationally

On August 6, 2009 Schartner was appointed by Andreas Herzog for the first time in the squad of the Austrian U-21 national team. Currently, he stands behind his team-mate Salzburg Wolfgang Schober, and behind Luke Königshofer as a substitute goalkeeper in the team squad. Currently the team plays in the qualifying for the U- 21 Championship 2011 in Denmark and occupies in the group 10 first place before the U-21 teams from Belarus, Scotland, Albania and Azerbaijan.
