David Schofield (actor)

David Schofield ( born 1951 in Manchester, United Kingdom ) is a British actor.

Life and career

Schofield grew up as one of ten children in a working class family. The age of twelve he was on local theater stages and worked in pieces. At 19 he enrolled at the London-based Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, however, broke the training for an acting career from.

First, in smaller roles, his parts in British television and film productions grew on and on. With a supporting role in The Last of the Mohicans him eventually also achieved a breakthrough and the jump to America. Its been famous roles were those of Senator Falco in Gladiator, the Rochefort in The Musketeer and the henchman Mr. Mercer in two parts of Pirates of the Caribbean.
