David Sigachev

David Sigacev (Russian Давид Сигачёв / Dawid Sigatschow; born January 6, 1989 in Moscow ) is a Russian racing driver.

Career

Sigacev began his motorsport career in 2002 in karting, where he was active until 2006. Among other things, he won the 2006 DMV Kart Championship. In 2007 he moved to Formula racing. For SL Formula Racing, he competed in the Formula Renault Northern European. With two tenth places for the best results he finished the season on the 21 overall. In addition, he participated in an event of the Formula Renault 2.0 Euro Cups in part.

After a one year break in 2009 Sigacev returned back into motorsport and joined the GT sports. He participated in the German Porsche Carrera Cup and finished the season on the 13 championship course. In addition, he completed two guest appearances in the Porsche Supercup. 2010 Sigacev remained in the German Porsche Carrera Cup and finished 14th in the championship. In addition, he took part in six races of the ADAC GT Masters. In 2011, he moved first in the ADAC GT Masters. He participated in eight races. He was 27th in the driver standings. In addition Sigacev debuted in 2011 for Deteam KK Motorsport in the World Touring Car Championship ( WTCC). He took part in an event and a 13th place was his best result.
