David Singmaster

David Breyer Sing Master ( * 1939 in the U.S.) is an emeritus professor of mathematics at London South Bank University, England, UK.

Sing Master in 1966 his doctorate at the University of California, Berkeley, with Derrick Lehmer in number theory (On Means of Differences of Consecutive Integers Relatively Prime to m).

He describes himself as Metagrobologist ( expert on puzzles), and is famous for his solution to the Rubik's cube and his huge personal collection of mechanical puzzles. He is also interested in the history of computer science.
