David Snyder

David L. Snyder ( born April 22, 1944 in Buffalo, New York, United States) is an American art director.

Life

Snyder received his education at the Technical University in his hometown of Buffalo. It was followed by a study of architecture at the University of Michigan and another in advertising design at Pierce College. Then Snyder began his work as decorators and Szenenbildnerassistent ( series The Incredible Hulk ) or Designer (series Buck Rogers and Battlestar Galactica 1980) while watching TV. At the anniversary event for the 50th Academy Awards on 3 April 1978 Snyder worked as an assistant to the artistic design.

Then David Snyder debuted in 1979 as art director, since he designed a plethora of mostly highly commercial entertainment films. For his scene visual arrangement of the science fiction film classic Blade Runner Snyder received, along with Lawrence G. Paull and Linda DeScenna an Oscar nomination. Later he returned again and again to the science fiction genre back, but often also designed the optical features of comedies and action films.

Snyder is married to actress Terry Finn since 1990. He has two children ( a daughter and a son).
