David Stone (producer)

David Stone ( born August 14, 1966) is an American theater producer.

Life

A native of New Jersey David Stone studied at the University of Pennsylvania.

About an internship at the New York theater production company Jujamcyn Stone came to the theater. Longer years he worked with the Broadway producers Barry and Fran Weisler before him in 1993 with its first production Family Secrets scored a surprise success.

Since 2003, he co-produced with Marc Platt, Universal Pictures for the hit musical Wicked - The Witches of Oz With an investment of 14 million U.S. dollars Wicked booth 2012 had already generated more than 250 million U.S. dollars in sales.

Stone is a member of the Board of Governors of The Broadway League and the Board of Trustees of Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. He taught at the Juilliard School, New York University, Yale University, Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania.
