David Tsebe

David Tsebe ( born November 9, 1966) is a former South African marathon runner.

In 1988 he was second in the marathon of Cape Town and won the marathon from Port Elizabeth. He was South African runners in the marathon in 1989 and won in Port Elizabeth and the marathon from Durban. In 1990 he became the national record time of 2:09:50 h national marathon champion, presented on July 21 in Durban with another national record 1:01:03 in the half marathon, and won again in Port Elizabeth and Durban.

In 1992, shortly after the cancellation of sporting sanctions that had been imposed against South Africa because of apartheid policies, he celebrated his greatest triumph when he won the Berlin Marathon in 2:08:07. This period was not only a South African record, but also Jahresweltbestzeit. The following year he was at the same place third in 2:12:07.
