David Watkin (cinematographer)

David Watkin ( born March 23, 1925 in Margate, Kent, England; † February 19, 2008 in Brighton ) was a British cinematographer.

Watkin stood since 1956 behind the camera and filmed until 2000 on 60 well-known films. In 1964, he was responsible for the title sequence to the James Bond adventure film " Goldfinger ".

Awards

In addition to many international awards, including nine BAFTA award nominations (including one awarded ), Watkin won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography for his work in Out of Africa at the Academy Awards in 1986.
