David Wenham

David Wenham ( born September 21, 1965 in Marrickville, Sydney, Australia) is an Australian film actor.

Life

David Wenham is the youngest child of Kath and Bill Wenham. He has six siblings, a brother and five sisters. Wenham was raised in the Roman Catholic faith and attended the High School of the Christian Brothers in Lewisham. Before starting his acting career he worked among others as Bingo Caller and clerk in an insurance company. His partner since 1994 has been the actress Kate Agnew, with whom he has two daughters.

Work

Throughout his career, Wenham played not only in television series with, but made, for example, as a co-producer and lead actor of the social drama The Boys a name and was in this case also nominated for his role as Brett Sprague Australian Film Institute Best Actor of 1997.
