David White (U.S. politician)

David White (* 1785, † October 19, 1834 in Franklin County, Kentucky ) was an American politician. Between 1823 and 1825 he represented the state of Kentucky in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

About David White, there is little useful information in the sources. Neither his exact date of birth nor his place of birth have survived. After primary school, he studied law, and he began to work as a lawyer in New Castle. Politically, he was a member of the Democratic- Republican Party. In the 1820s White joined the movement to President John Quincy Adams.

In the congressional elections of 1822 White was the sixth electoral district of Kentucky in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Francis Johnson on March 4, 1823. Until March 3, 1825, he was able to complete a term in Congress. About White's life after his time in the U.S. House of Representatives is not much known. He died on October 19, 1834 in Franklin County.
