David Zayas

David Zayas ( born December 31, 1969 in Puerto Rico ) is an American actor in theater, film and television from Puerto Rico.

Biography

Zayas was born in Puerto Rico, but grew up in the Bronx in New York City on. Early on, he joined the U.S. Air Force and later the police of New York ( NYPD ) at. Looking at his roles as an actor it is clear that he is primarily police officers or investigators of homicide.

Between 2000 and 2003 he played in 27 episodes of the American television series Oz prison - hell behind bars with. He embodied the role of Enrique Morales. Zayas has, among other guest appearances in the series Criminal Intent - disappeared without a trace - Criminal Intent, Law & Order and Without a Trace.

Since 1992 he has been a member of the LAByrinth Theatre Company, a theatrical group from New York. There he met his wife, actress Liza Colón - Zayas.

His most famous role is that of Angel Batista in the television series Dexter, in which he portrayed a policeman of murder Department at the side of Michael C. Hall.
