Davide Fontolan
Davide Fontolan ( born February 24, 1966 in Garbagnate Milanese ) is a retired Italian footballer.
Career
Davide Fontolan began his career in 1982 at the then fourth division AC Legnano, for whom he debuted in the 1982/83 season in the Serie C2 and immediately scored a goal in his first league game. At season's end Fontolan increased with the club on the third division. Over the next three years he was increasingly becoming an important link in the middle of the Lombards, and sat as a regular in the scene. For the season 1986/87 he went to Parma, where he scored six goals in C1 31 league games in the series and was lured away after a season of second division side Udinese Calcio. In Friuli him a solid season came with five Torerfolgen. Again, after only one season, he also returned to the Bianconeri the back and left the club in the direction of Genoa, where he signed a contract with the Genoa. The Rossoblu Fontolan made the final breakthrough in Serie B and contributed six goals in 35 games for promotion to Serie A at.
The 1989/90 season ended for Fontolan and Genoa with the League receipt in the top division and the midfielder was subsequently committed to Inter Milan. In his debut season he was no duty stake at the Nerazzurri and Fontolan ran in August 1991 in a match of Coppa Italia for the first time for the Milan on the pitch. Over the next five seasons he scored the majority of the tribe Cadre Inter. His biggest success in his commitment to Milan was the victory in the UEFA Cup in 1993/94. For the season 1996/97 he went to Bologna FC and completed four more seasons in the top division. For the 2000/01 season Fontolan moved to Cagliari Calcio, where he made his career with nine starts and two goals close in the B series.
Fontolan was never nominated during his career for an Italian junior national team. He was appointed by Arrigo Sacchi Azzurra for a friendly against Portugal in the squad for the Squadra, but not used in 1993.
His brother Silvano was also a professional footballer.
