Davidson County (North Carolina)

Davidson County is a county located in the state of North Carolina of the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Lexington, which was in honor of Lexington, Massachusetts, the city where the American Revolutionary War began, named.

Geography

History

Davidson County was formed in 1822 from parts of Rowan County. It was named after General William Lee Davidson.
