Davidson is a town in Mecklenburg County in the U.S. state of North Carolina with over 10,000 inhabitants. To a portion of the territory extends in the north to the Iredell County. West of the town is the Lake Norman, 30 km south of the city in the U.S. siebzehntgrößte Charlotte ( North Carolina).

The place is named after General William Lee Davidson ( American Revolutionary War).

Noteworthy is next to the Davidson College the fact that the U.S. national soccer team has already played some matches of the ladies here ( and Others v. Germany ).
