Dawn tetra

The Augenflecksalmler ( Aphyocharax paraguayensis ) (also Sonnensalmler or Schwanzflecksalmler ) is an indigenous to Paraguay in the waters, freshwater ornamental fish of the family of the Real tetras, stands out with its bright colors.

The approximately 4.5 cm in size becoming fish are full of attitude, even in small aquariums, where they can be associated with other types. Since the Augenflecksalmler is a schooling fish, it should be kept in captivity in groups of six animals. Some aquarists have reported that the species seems to feed on fins and scales of other fish.
