Dawn Upshaw

Dawn Upshaw ( born July 17, 1960 in Nashville, Tennessee ) is an American singer ( soubrette ).

Dawn Upshaw studied until 1982 at Illinois Wesleyan University. Then came two years of singing training at the Manhattan School of Music. Her debut was in 1988 at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. Her breakthrough experienced in 1992 at the Salzburg Festival as an angel in Olivier Messiaen's opera " Saint Francis of Assisi ".
