Daxweiler
Daxweiler is a municipality in the district of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Stromberg. Daxweiler is a nationally recognized tourist destination.
Geography
The municipality is located in Soonwaldsteig part of the Northern Upper Rhine lowlands in Rhineland- Palatinate west of the Rhine. More than 85 percent of the area Daxweilers make extensive forest sections. Daxweiler is easily accessible by the nearby connection to the A61.
The municipal area are the dwelling places Eichhof, Eichmühle, forest house Emmerich Cabin, Forest Haus Tiefenbach, Soon Fried and current Neuhütte.
History
Ritter Werner II of Bolanden mentioned the place name Daxweiler ( Dahswilre ) for the first time in his fief directory of 1190th in 1419 took over the Palatinate Daxweiler the Elector of Mainz, earlier she had taken it already 1375 pledge shaft. It remained in the possession of the Palatinate until the French Revolution in the late 18th century.

Parish council
The local council in Daxweiler consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 of personalized proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman. The twelve seats in the City Council are distributed among three groups of voters.
Culture and sights
The old village fountain dates from the year 1870.
