Dayton Ice Bandits

The Dayton Ice Bandits were an American ice hockey team from Dayton, Ohio. The team played in the 1996/97 season in the Colonial Hockey League.

History

The franchise of the London Wildcats from the Colonial Hockey League in 1996 from London, Ontario, to Dayton, Ohio, relocated and renamed Dayton Ice Bandits. In their only season, the 1996/97 season, occupied the Ice Bandits with only 34 points in 74 games the fifth and last place thus the West Division. Thus, the team missed the playoffs for the Colonial Cup.

After the Dayton Ice Bandits were a year inactive, the franchise prior to the 1998/99 season was to Utica, New York, resettled, where it then under the name Mohawk Valley Prowlers of the game operation of the United Hockey League, as the Colonial Hockey League from 1997 was called, took part. There they replaced the Utica Blizzard, who had been a year earlier relocated to Winston - Salem.
