DB Breweries
The Dominion Breweries (aka " DB" ) are the largest breweries in New Zealand.
History
It was founded in 1929 as the " Waitemata Brewerey " by J. Couttes in Otahuhu, New Zealand. There is still the company headquarters. In 1969, the " Taranaki Brewerey ", New Plymouth, as well as the " TUI Brewerey " Mangatainoka taken over. A year later, the Dominion Breweries (this name is now used for the whole group ); therefore are today breweries in: Otahuhu, Mangatainoka, Washdyke and Greymouth.
Today the company is one of Asia Pacific Breweries Limited, a subsidiary of Heineken, based in Singapore.
