De Gasperi III Cabinet

The Cabinet De Gasperi II ruled Italy on 2 February 1947 to 1 June 1947. Prior to the Cabinet De Gasperi ruled the Cabinet De Gasperi II, then IV The government of Prime Minister Alcide De Gasperi was supported by the following parties in the Constituent Assembly:

  • Christian Democracy (DC)
  • Partito Comunista Italiano ( PCI)
  • Partito Socialista Italiano ( PSI)

The Cabinet De Gasperi III remained only a few months in office. Although on February 10, 1947 Italy signed the Treaty of Paris, then withdrew the Allied occupation forces and the country formally became sovereign again, the government was forced to resign in early June, because the United States requested the exclusion of Communists and Socialists from the government.

Minister

Several ministers were already part of the previous Cabinet. Sforza ( exterior ) and Gasparotto ( defense ) belonged to parties that were not officially part of the government coalition.
