De Nederlandsche Bank NV (DNB ) ( German: " The Dutch Bank AG") is the central bank of the Netherlands.

The Bank was founded on March 25, 1814 by King William I and has the Dutch monopoly on the issue of banknotes. The Dutch government is in the stock corporation since 1948 the sole shareholder.

Until the accession of the Netherlands in 1999, the European Economic and Monetary Union, the Central Bank established the policy rate. The President of the Bank is also the Sociaal - Economische Raad kroonlid (SER ). De Nederlandsche Bank has its registered office in Amsterdam until 1968 at Turfmarkt since which was built to a design by Marius Duintjer from 1961 in an office tower on Frederik Plein. The building stands on the site of the former Paleis voor Volksvlijt. When the office tower had become too small, a round office tower was added. The DNB took 2011 for the third time in the Canal Parade of the Amsterdam Gay Pride part.

In 1999, the DNB has been part of the European Central Bank. 2005, the Bank merged with Pensioen -en Verzekeringskamer.

The headquarters of the DNB is located in Amsterdam ( Westeinde 1). There are also four agencies: in the center, in Eindhoven, Hoogeveen and in Wassenaar.
