De Plattfööt

De Plattfööt ( High German: The flat feet ) is a low German folk singing group from Mecklenburg- Vorpommern, consisting of singers and guitarists Peter Wilke and Klaus passage.

Wilke and Lass are from Rostock and for some years in Schwerin ( Wilke ) and Warnemünde (Let ) home. De Plattfööt there since 1979. The name originated not as a characterization of an anatomical peculiarity, but because they go with " flat " through the area. Their music is a mix of folk, blues and country music, and their lyrics are based on the merry Low German poems by Rudolf Tarnow and Fritz Reuter.

Over 100 titles have been produced for radio, television and record so far. Until now, published at Easter 2008 CD Ümmer created four LPs and seven CDs, last eenmol yet. The best-known hits are Disco up'n Dörp, Fru Püttelkow ut Hagenow and De Isenbahnboomupundaldreier.

Through years of media coverage and numerous live performances in Sweden, Austria and Singapore De Plattfööt is known to a wide audience.

De Plattfööt was awarded the Fritz -Reuter- art prize.

The motto of the band reads: " Kort is serving life un lang ' büst you dod. Minsh blot, annoy non, ne, laugh deit good! " (Rudolf Tarnow, German: short is your life, and long you're dead man, just do not get angry, no, laughing is good! )
