De Ronde Venen

( Listen? / I ) De Ronde veins is a municipality in the Netherlands, Utrecht.

Location and economic

The community is located 10 to 15 kilometers south of Amsterdam and 20 km north west of Utrecht. East of Vinkeveen runs the A2 Utrecht - Amsterdam motorway. Public transport is hardly in the community. Buses to Uithoorn and Utrecht. The main sources of income in De Ronde veins are tourism (water sports on the lakes ) and livestock. Also there are many commuters who have a job in Amsterdam, Hilversum and Utrecht.

History

De Ronde veins is a typical Dutch deep bog. The German Emperor Otto I gave the area around Wilnis, Mijdrecht Vinkeveen and in 953 the bishop of Utrecht. Bishop Conrad of Utrecht gave the then not yet reclaimed bog made ​​1085 the Brothers of St. John's Church of Utrecht. Then began the first tentative attempts here to farm. Tourism

Vinkeveen is known for the water sports tourism on the lakes ( Vinkeveense plassen ). The village has two marinas, many campsites, a swimming pool, several restaurants, etc. The " Vinkeveense plassen " are an excellent fishing area, especially walleye and pike are to catch the noble specimens ( about 100 cm).
