Dea Loher

Dea Loher ( born April 20, 1964 in Traunstein ) is a German playwright and prose writer.

Life

Dea Loher, the daughter of a forester, was born in 1964 in Traunstein. The first name ' Dea ' was originally only her stage name, she made later by name change in court instead of ' Andrea Beate ' to her real first name. She studied German and Philosophy at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich. After graduating as a Master in 1988 she spent a year in Brazil. From 1990 she took part in the study program, Playwriting ' with Heiner Müller and Yaak Karsunke at the University of the Arts Berlin. Her first play Olgas space came in 1991 in Hamburg Ernst German theater for the premiere. Dea Loher now lives and works in Berlin.

In October 2003, directed by Andreas Kriegenburg their piece of innocence at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. In June 2004, followed Life on Praça Roosevelt, first performed under the direction of Andreas Kriegenburg at the Thalia studio stage in the Gaußstraße that traveled in the fall of 2004 to festivals to Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre and Rio de Janeiro.

On 2 February 2009, the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, with prize money of 30,000 euros Berlin Literature Prize of the Foundation awarded to Royal Norwegian Dea Loher. At the same time winner summoned the Vice President of Freie Universität Berlin, Christine Keitel Kreidt - on the Heiner Müller Visiting Professor for German -language poetry at the Peter Szondi Institute for General and Comparative Literature at the Free University. The eulogy for the winner held the literary critic Lothar Müller.
