Deadache is the fourth studio album by the Finnish band Lordi, which was released in Germany on 24 October 2008 and was released on 31 October 2008 worldwide. As with " The Arockalypse " the costumes of the members were also changed to " Deadache ". The public release party was on 31 October 2008 at Tavastia Club in Helsinki, traditionally on Halloween. In addition, Germany had numerous' Lordi 's Halloween Party ", in which you got either free admission or free drink with mask from the digipack.

Recording

Lordi began the recordings for Deadache on 7 May 2008. For the new album, the group had written 60 demos, from which the band chose 14 pieces to record.

The recordings were finished in August.

The band members Kita and Amen said the following about Deadache:

[ Kita ] " It is an old title. The title means something. We had 60 songs and have picked us 14. We had no particular (musical) ideas about. We just did what we wanted. Actually, we never think! ( laughs). " Amen ," We do what seems to be good. "

Music

Deadache is a melodic -hard rock album, but it contains more darker tones than Lordi's previous albums. All members contributed to the songs, a highlight is the song "The Rebirth Of The Countess ," written by keyboardist Awa. So it contains a spoken part in French. The song " Missing Miss Charlene " is to mention also because Mr.Lordi composed this song at the age of 12 years with some friends from Rovaniemi.

The organ at the beginning and between the verses of the song " The Devil Hides Behind Her Smile " is taken from the " Phantom of the Opera ".

MySpace Pre- Listening Session

On 20 October 2008 Lordi announced that another title of Deadache until October 24, will be published daily on their Myspace page.
