Deadliest Catch

The most dangerous job in Alaska (Original Title: Deadliest Catch) is an American documentary television series produced by Original Productions for the Discovery Channel since 2005. In Germany it is broadcast by the transmitters DMAX and Discovery Channel. The series shows the events aboard fishing boats in the rough and dangerous Bering Sea during the fishing season for king crab and snow crab.

The home port of the fishing fleet is Dutch Harbor on Unalaska Aleuteninsel in Alaska. In more than 70 episodes of the series Phil Harris appeared as captain of his crab fishing vessel Cornelia Marie.

The series has twice won an Emmy Award and was nominated five more times. The composer Bruce Hanifan was honored twice with a BMI Film & TV Award for series two.
