Dean Goodhill

Dean Goodhill ( born October 23, 1944 in Los Angeles, California) is an American editor.

Life

Goodhill was an actor and drama students in high school and studied at the page at the American National Theatre and Academy. After graduating, he studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and at the Neighborhood Playhouse. His first impressions of film editing, he obtained the American Film Institute during an internship. Meanwhile, he worked as a photographer, especially in the music world for bands like The Doors, The Rolling Stones and The Bee Gees.

Peter Weller and Goodhill tried to produce a feature film by Weller play the main role and Goodhill should direct the film, but ultimately it failed in the financing. So he tried in post-production to get a foothold, began as a sound engineer and eventually worked his way up to film editor.

Good Hills biggest success so far is the movie The Fugitive, for which he was nominated by Don Brochu, David Finfer, Dov Hoenig, Richard North and Dennis Virkler for an Oscar.
