Dean Wright

Dean Wright ( born May 15, 1962 in Michigan ) is an American film director and VFX Producer.

Life

Dean Wright grew up in Scottsdale and attended Chaparral High School. Subsequently, he attended film school at University of Arizona in Tucson. When he finished his studies in 1986, he tried, unsuccessfully, as an actor before he made ​​his debut as a production assistant with the movie Desperado (1987 ) for the U.S. television channel NBC. As a production assistant, he worked for James Cameron in Terminator 2 - Judgment Day (1991). James Cameron hired him for the first time in 1997 as a VFX Producer for Titanic. Among his greatest successes include his work on the film The King of Narnia, for which he was nominated for the 2006 Oscar. His work on The Return of the King won a VES Award. He was also nominated in 2006 and 2009 for the Saturn Award.

In 2009 he began work on his directorial debut, For the Greater Glory: The True Story of Cristiada, a film about the Guerra Cristera he realized on location in Mexico with the help of local filmmakers. The film came in 2012 in the American cinema. In 2012, he joined the Independent Film Label Get Real USA as a consultant.
