Background
Madonna was used to write the song inspired by the eponymous daughter of the co-authors Patrick Leonard. During the Christmas season 1989, the single reached number five in the UK with 250,769 units sold.
The refrain of the song was used for the single Dear Jessie the German Euro dance project Rollergirl 1999.
Music Video
The music video was produced by the London-based Animation City; the government took over Derek Hayes. In the video, an animated fairy is shown. Producer was Maddy Sparrow, the artist Neville Astley, Jimmy Farrington, Andy Goff, Malcolm Hartley, Derek Hayes, Erica Russell and Alison Snowden. The video is included on the video album She 's Breathless in 1990.
