Death Row is the tenth studio album by the German heavy metal band Accept. It was published on 1 October 1994 on RCA Records.
Formation and style
The album was first recorded in the Roxx studios, with drummer Stefan Kaufmann acted as sound engineer. On Death Row already played Stefan Schwarzmann on two songs the drums. Kaufmann had to leave because of a back injury following the band on tour. On the album, the band tried to follow a harder line than its predecessor and joined the traditional style elements with some - at that time modern - bonds from the extreme metal genre.
Reception
Death Row in Germany reached place 32 Jason Anderson of Allmusic.com awarded 1.5 stars out of five. He criticized merchant's production as " somewhat weak " compared to the previous album Objection Overruled. The song material is has not met the band in the studio. Alex Straka of Powermetal.de wrote: " Death Row is simply a very good Accept album which, although not quite up comes Objection Overruled predecessor, but the steel forging Accept represents more than worthy. "
