Debbie Friedman

Deborah Lynn " Debbie " Friedman ( born February 23, 1951 † 9 January 2011) was a singer- songwriter and interpreter of Jewish liturgy. She played guitar and sang in Hebrew and English. She is best known for her version of the Prayer Mi Shebeirach. The music of Debbie Friedman had influence on the liturgy of Reform, Conservative communities, but also Orthodox. Friedman was a feminist.
