Debbie Green-Vargas

Deborah " Debbie " Green ( born June 25, 1958 in Seoul, South Korea) is a former American volleyball player. Despite their small body size of 1.63 m is considered one of the best Zuspiele channels in the history of women's volleyball.

Debbie Green grew up in California. She played volleyball at Westminster High School and was a member of the Adidas Junior Team. Later, she played with the USC Trojans, which in 1977 and 1978, the AIAW National Championships won. As a member of the senior team could not participate in the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 because of the boycott of the United States. But you played in three World Cups for the U.S. team. At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles Debbie Green led the USA to the silver medal. In 1987 and 1988 she played volleyball professionally for the Los Angeles Starlites. After her playing career was Debbie Green coach of the Long Beach State women's team.

1995 Debbie Green was inducted into the "Volleyball Hall of Fame".

Debbie Green is married to Joe Vargas and has two daughters who also play volleyball.
